procrastinating

Ive been through every method of procrastination in efforts to avoid the paper I have due tomorrow, and my last option is this.. so i figured i'd think of something things to say rather than focusing on my work.

The ACAA basketball championships are being held in Sackville this weekend and i'm scheduled to do stats for all 10 games, so schoolwork isn't really going to happen this weekend either. basketball players all over the place. not that im complaining.. but 10 games is a little too much.

I have decided that i am going to travel. Im not sure when, where to, or how im going to afford it. but those are only minor details. im thinking New Zealand maybe. i've seen some pictures and it looks beautiful.. or perhaps Greece. I've wanted to go there since I saw the sisterhood of the travelling pants. the more I type the more i realize how stupid this blog makes me sound. oh well. that is okay. The main problem I run into with this whole travel thing is I dont want to fly overseas.. over land i dont mind but i cant do it over water.

maybe im just in a winter slump. summer needs to come quickly and school needs to end. I dont even mind school, my classes are great and im doing well. but i just want to be in Muskoka summer right NOW.

this entry is completely boring and i apologize.

let's try again..

So i'm back!
Every 4 or 5 months I drift back to this blog and am embarassed because I can't seem to commit myself to regular entries. So, I am trying again. My best reason, I guess, is that I can update you all on what im doing through this rather than emailing all the time. Nothing against emailing, but I dont have the time (or an exciting enough life) for frequent emails.

So, fresh start.

This is actually a great day to start blogging again, it's been pretty busy. I am back in Sackville today from a week at home. It was quite nice being home for a while, I got to spend time with a lot of people I love, and take a much needed break from Mt.A. I flew Air Canada Jazz this morning out of Toronto, which I am never doing again. Those planes are so tiny and the turbulence was ridiculous. Not fun. I'm such a baby when it comes to flying.

This afternoon I went to convocation hall to see Stuart McLean's "Vinyl Cafe" live. It was fantastic - My friend Claire gave me a free ticket because her mom works for CBC which was wonderful. It was so great to see the show live, i'd heard several episodes every sunday on the drive home from church with my family. One of the musical guests was Jill Barber, a folk singer from Halifax who was recently nominated for 4 awards at the ECMA's (east coast music awards), winning two of them. The second musical guest was Dan Hill, who wrote the song "sometimes when we touch" among many others. He has written for and toured with Celine Dion among other famous artists, and has one several Juno awards and a couple Grammys. We stuck around after the show for autographs and photos (i'll post them soon). The show was hilarious.
